it has been reported that rats fed on diets supplemented with 10% and 20% pure monosodium glutamate suffered retina degeneration. Some people might say “So what, humans are not rats!” To which I would respond “Our DNA is very similar to that of a rat, which is why they use rats for testing, but more important than this is that we have a much longer lifespan than a rat so if it affects a rats short life it will very likely effect us”.
For decades side effects have been reported:-
Headache
Flushing
Sweating
Facial pressure or tightness
Numbness, tingling or burning in face, neck and other areas
Rapid, fluttering heartbeats (heart palpitations)
Chest pain
Nausea
Weakness
