Closed petition Mandatory jail term & loss of licence for criminal damage while driving

Drivers involved in pursuits seemingly do not care who or what they damage and they are often uninsured or may not have a licence. It should be an automatic jail term and removal of a licence plus serious fines for all the damage they cause.

To remove dangerous and uninsured drivers from the roads for a significant time for the benefit and safety of ordinary citizens and our police who put their lives at risk apprehending these types of drivers. To put responsibility for the financial damage (public and police vehicles) they cause where it belongs - on the person perhaps via the proceeds of crime procedures.
