Closed Give children a voice in family court

Children can find themselves silenced if a Cafcass ‘Section 7’ report is not requested by the court during a divorce or separation. In cases where there is alleged domestic abuse, a section 7 report should be mandatory before any contact is made with the accused.

Without this, this can have a further impact on the child, some of whom may already be victims of parental alienation.

Every child should be given a voice, not just one parent which can be the case.
