Closed Allow Registered Paramedics, Midwives and Nurses to use Green Beacons

Change the Road Vehicle lighting Regulations to include Registered Paramedics, Midwifes and Nurses.

Since the legislation around the use of Green lights was created, much of the clinical care provided by Doctors is now delivered by Paramedics and Nurses. Many Paramedics and Nurses are now working in a primary care setting and may need to reach a patient urgently to deliver care to reduce suffering and save lives.

Midwives also are required to attend births with complications where time is of the essence and the use of Green Beacons may save lives.

It's time the legislation caught up.
