Rejected petition Allow the use of "bioptic glasses" during driving examinations

The UK currently follows EU driving regulations which do not allow the use of bioptic devices to be used. The UK is coming out of the EU and we are able to make our own decision whether such devices are suitable and beneficial for people in the UK with mild visual impairments to use while driving

More details

Allowing people with mild visual impairments to drive using bioptic devices would allow them to be more independent, be more socially connected. 45 states one the USA, 4 provinces in Canada and The Netherlands all allow visually impaired people to sit their driving test with bioptic devices.
