Closed Make it illegal for employers to dismiss staff for certified sick leave

The Government should make it illegal for employers to sack someone for taking sick leave when they have been signed off work by a doctor.

If you have seen your doctor and they give you a medical note telling you you are unfit to work then employers should not be able to terminate your employment because of this.

I feel it is unfair to be relieved of your duties if someone in a medical profession had told you that you are unfit for work.
