Closed Fund band 6 pay for newly-qualified nurses

The Government should provide increased funding to the NHS so that the starting grade of newly qualified nurses can be Band 6.

Social workers have the equivalent called ASYE.
Nurses train for three years in the University like social workers.
Nurses currently start at Band 5 and there is no uniform progression among nurses.
Community care workers and social prescribers are Band 5 without the qualifications and training that nurses have to undergo.
Changes in role expectations in line with new competencies and responsibilities required to practice by the NMC.
Remuneration should reflect modern nursing.
