Closed Make Pregnancy NIPT Tests available on the NHS

To make Pregnancy NIPT Scans available on the NHS instead of having to go private at a cost of nearly £400.

NIPT is more accurate than the standard antenatal screening tests for Down's, Edward's and Patau's syndrome that are currently available via the NHS. At the moment, if a pregnant woman has a higher-chance result from NHS screening, she could be offered an invasive diagnostic test, which carry higher risks of miscarriage. A NIPT test could provide a more accurate result without these risks and should be offered on the NHS.
