More details

Freddie Mercury and queens songs are part of our national heritage and the songs and music of Queen unify the whole of UK society. In addition Freddie being from an Ethnic minority, immigrant back ground and being from the LBTQ community this statue will be a powerful symbol of the progress the country has made and continues to do so and this needs to be celebrated. Any such statue would be a reminder to all in a location that is identified with protest and not celebration.
