Rejected petition make TRT more accessible on NHS ..and not judged on just blood test numbers..

at the moment gp's will not prescribe TRT to men if there blood tests come back as so called normal..but they do not test for everything that TRT is for..they should use the same methodology as private TRT clinics use to maximise the results..and provide men with a better quality of life ..

More details

many aspects of mens life tend to go down hill at the age of 40..sometimes even earlier which can cause mental health issues with the decline of testosterone or raised levels of oestrogen in men...the impacts are ..
low sex drive
fewer spontaneous erections
erectile dysfunction
lowered sperm count or volume
trouble sleeping
unusual loss of muscle and bone density
unexplained weight gain
depression
all can be seriously detrimental to the quality of life and can also effect family relationships

This petition was rejected

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.

Petitions must call for a specific action that the UK Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.

Decisions about treatment of patients are a clinical matter for the NHS and individual clinicians, not the Government or Parliament. As a result it is not possible for the Government or Parliament to take the action you have requested.

We could accept a petition calling on the Government to review access to testosterone replacement therapy, if that's something you would like to happen.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
