Closed Cease foreign aid during covid-19 and use the funds to support UK economy

The U.K. economy is under immense pressure. Jobs are at severe risk. Unemployment is highest for decades.
Use the funds earmarked for foreign aid to provide more financial support for the UK economy and businesses instead. Enhance furlough schemes further to help to help protect UK jobs.

The world is in crisis, but charity begins at home. If our country collapses then how will we ever be able to help other countries again?
Use foreign aid funds to stabilise our country and eradicate covid-19. Once strong again, then we can help others.
Over stretching our economy will result in no support for others in future.
Cuts to aid are a step forward but still do not mitigate the ultimate risk to our economy. Aid should be ceased until we are stabilised.
