All children who are born or diagnosed with a disability which could affect development and or life-long health should be automatically offered an Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP).

Children diagnosed at or after birth with disabilities that may affect their development, need teams to work together in early intervention as early as possible to ensure best possible life outcomes.

Independent living and employment for people with additional needs could be improved; having a positive impact on not only the economy but also the lives of many. Whilst an application can be carried out at a young age, ECHPs are normally only made for children with severe disabilities.
