Rejected petition Review the constraints on hospitality businesses

The Caterer is asking the government to reconsider its 10pm curfew on hospitality. Operators have already put in place the highest levels of safety to ensure that diners and guests can convene in a well-regulated, controlled environment, whatever the hour.

More details

Asking guests to leave a premises en masse at 10pm runs counter to the aim of social distancing and only serves to increase the risk of coronavirus transmission.
We ask that the government reconsiders the 10pm curfew. The industry will continue to provide safe environments for people to eat, drink and sleep before returning to their homes in a staggered and controlled manner. This approach will stem the spread of coronavirus, aid the recovery of hospitality businesses and save jobs.
