Closed Fund local authorities to increase the Disabled Facilities Grant

We would like the Government to provide funding to allow for the DFG to be increased to reflect more realistically the cost of access and adaptations to buildings for people with a disability. This would stop families losing out on properties that are otherwise ideal.

No family should have a cost put on their health, safety or well-being. We need the government to fund LAs to increase the max DFG allowance to reflect inflation and locality, plus include a discretionary element if more is required in exceptional circumstances.
