Prohibit the use of exterior packaging on toothpaste tubes. Notably, cardboard boxes, but any other form of packaging also.

This could exclude prescription-only and/or over the counter products.
Tens of millions of toothpaste tubes are sold in the UK annually. Many being sold in a cardboard box that offers little to no practical benefit to the consumer.

Doing this will (1) Save resources used in box production (2) Reduce waste and reduce recycling requirements (3) Send a message to industry that unnecessary packaging is unwanted.
