Over the past few years, Northern England has been subject to decisions that are harmful to its people, businesses and future. This has been made increasingly clear in the past year with the Covid restrictions being stricter than in the South of England. It's time for us to decide our own future.

For decades, we feel the North has always been seen as lesser than the South East, receiving less funding for transport, jobs, & education. In the past few years, the government have decided to throw Northern England to the wall after Brexit, and we have faced stricter restrictions under Covid-19, where other areas have been allowed their freedoms despite similar levels of infection.

It's time for us to decide our own affairs, akin to Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland - no more ruling from afar!
