Closed Permanently exempt the VAT on PPE

Millions of us require Personal protective equipment (PPE) to protect ourselves and others. I want the Government to permanently exempt the VAT on PPE.
Healthcare workers need to use PPE daily to do their jobs. There should be no VAT on these essential life saving items.

PPE has become even more essential since COVID. Whether this is gloves, masks, visors, aprons, gowns or eye protection ; they create a barrier for the wearer between blood, bodily fluids, or respiratory secretions.
Employers have to provide appropriate PPE to their employees wherever there is a risk to health and safety. We will have to coexist with many more viruses to come.
Taking the VAT off these life saving items will make it more financial viable going forward.
