Closed Extend rights to access children's school records to all schools and academies

Academy schools and independent schools are not covered by the Education (Pupil Information) (England) Regulations that allows parents to access their children’s school records. It is instead left at the discretion of the schools and can depend on the relationship between the parents and school.

The Government should update this legislation to ensure that all parents can see their child’s records, helping them to solve disputes and have confidence in the actions of the school.
