Closed petition Make mobile operators register all numbers with the TPS automatically

I want the UK government to make UK mobile networks to register numbers with the Telephone Preference Service unless the person who has that number opts in for marketing calls. This service legally prevents marketers from calling registered numbers.

I've had multiple phone calls from people I don't know and are not even from the same area of the United Kingdom that I am, and was always stumped until a friend suggested that my mobile number could be on the internet, I didn't believe this was possible but nevertheless searched my mobile number on Google to find that it was indeed on the internet on multiple UK based websites. This requirement would help protect people from nuisance calls.
