permit outdoor sports at a grassroots level to continue throughout lockdown as long as risk assessments are carried out and processes can be followed and checked in accordance with infection control standards

the effects of outdoor activities including sports at a grassroots level have an overwhelmingly positive effect on a large number of individuals, particularly at a time when so many other liberties and needs have been removed from our lives. participating in outdoor activities is safer and carries less risk than some of the permissible activities under the new guidelines
