To extend the contributions based esa as although telephone assessments have been put in place ,assessment centres are still insisting on face to face assessments which they cannot carry out to make a decision on cases .

The contributions based employment support allowance is only claimable for 12 months unless you have a decision from the assessment centre placing you in a work related group . If you are placed in the lower group ( lcw) you have a right of appeal. If you are placed in the higher group (lcwwra) there is no time limit on your claim . Without any decision you are not allowed to re-claim the benefit and you also have no right of appeal. This needs extending urgently
