According to the passport application website a banker can sign an application but not a builder, a politician but not a plumber, a lawyer but not a lollipop lady. This is because you need to be an upstanding member of the community.
If you think basing moral character on profession discriminates against non-professional workers please sign this petition.
If you think the government is right and bankers have more moral fibre than lollipop ladies please let this discrimination continue.
