Allow hybrid cars to be manufactured and sold alongside all electric vehicles. All electric vehicles are not suitable for people who live in remote areas or travel great distances on a regular basis and battery technology does not appear to be developing sufficiently to overcome this issue.
The must be thousands of people who like me travel over 250 miles in one journey for work. On a day when the temperature is -5 and there is snow on the ground, the promises of the car manufacturers about mileage will be sadly exposed as well below a 250 mile journey. If you have to travel to Thurso there is no adequate train service, so the journey becomes 2 days. Oil based technologies are becoming cleaner and much more efficient and can be improved easier than battery technology.
