Closed Require clear labelling on all products linked to deforestation.

Require by law that all products display an immediately visible symbol, showing any links to deforestation. This will allow the public to make fully informed buying choices to actively prevent the climate crisis worsening.

If current trends continue, more than a quarter of the Amazon biome will be without trees by 2030 (WWF), further accelerating the climate crisis. The Environment Bill introduced on 10th November requires due diligence on sourcing standards, but does not inform UK citizens of the consequences of their choices at purchase points. Clear labelling on products will allow the public to quickly identify and avoid products and services linked to deforestation.
