Petitions had to stop because of the recent general election. Once a new Petitions Committee is set up by the House of Commons, petitions will start again.

Closed petition Tougher sentences for shaken baby deaths

We would like the government to change the law so that people of any age who are convicted of shaking a baby to death receive tougher sentences. They should not be entitled to a reduction in their sentence for pleading guilty at any opportunity.

More details

I would like the government to bring in a law in memory of my child after they were sadly a victim of this crime and I don't believe justice has been served or remorse has been shown.
