Closed petition 'Take Out to Help Out' Scheme to Save our Hospitality Industry

Closed on

Launch a 'Take Out to Help Out' scheme modeled on the successful 'Eat Out to Help Out' scheme for restaurants & cafes forced to operate as take-aways (Tier 3) when the tougher structure comes into force in December. This would muster a community spirit to help keep the hospitality industry alive.

Trade body, UK Hospitality, says restaurants make 25% of profits in December
UK Hospitality says 660,000 jobs already lost
The Office for National Statistics reports that 1 in 3 hospitality businesses fear collapse

England returns to a tier structure in Dec, with many regions likely to be in tier 3. Restaurants, who have been forced to close for 130 days this year, will miss out on critical Dec trade

Support must be given to encourage takeaway trade to help independent business owners survive
