Enact specific offences in UK law to protect females against abuse and degrading treatment procedures and the sale of equipment to determine virginity or restoral of the hymen.

These acts reinforce a message that women are the property of men and that their sexual and personal rights are subject to the will of men. A law, banning these acts in the UK would send a strong message to the world that women are equal to men and that belonging to any religion, culture or belief system does not confer rights to abuse women or, more often girls. The government should act for the silent victims of this horrific abuse.
