There are estimated to be 10 million cows in the UK.

To reduce the spread of Bovine TB, every cow and potential disease carrying farm animal should be micro-chipped leading to a formal national database of stock movements across the country.

We can run this type of operation for 40 millions cars - why not cows?

It will reduce fraud and irregular cattle trading.

It will also reduce future foot and mouth risk.
