Closed petition Automatic British Citizenship for UK Military Service by non British Nationals

After UK Military Service completed by non British Nationals, qualifying service enables application for British Citizenship. The process is not automatic and requires the applicant to collect supporting documents, pay fees and employee a Solicitor to assist the application.

To make the application for qualifying Service personnel for British Citizenship, part of and funded by, the Resettlement Process. To include this commitment in the Military Covenant. Current discharge from Service processes do not properly direct qualifying personnel on the required actions to take, nor provide as a matter of course, the required documentation to succeed in the application. There is also an excessive financial cost, which should be born by the resettlement process.
