Closed Allow indoor theatre and live events in Tier 3 areas if they are covid-secure!

If theatres and indoor venues are covid-secure: socially distanced seating, temperature checks, face masks, hand sanitiser, ventilation, enhanced cleaning and use of track and trace, please let them open.

Non-essential retail has been allowed to open as the Christmas trade is deemed essential for their business. Pantomime is no different for the theatre industry; many theatres only survive on their pantomime season. Theatres and indoor venues have spent months of effort and money making their spaces covid-secure, and cannot open, despite being potentially safer than a shopping trip, hairdresser visit or gym workout.
