Petition Human Rights to Privacy Violation by Royal Mail
More details
Amendment of the new rule which requires customers to divulge parcel contents to counter clerks upon sending.
To remove the refusal to post any parcel whereby the sender doesn't wish to divulge content details (If contents are that of a potentially embarrassing nature is it right to publically humiliate?)
It is senders responsibility to ensure the prohibited items/dangerous goods list is adhered to, not the royal mail or post office. As such, the interrogative question 'whats in it?' should not be asked. It should be reworded to be more human rights friendly such as 'are the contents of your parcel/s any of the items outlined in the prohibited items/dangerous goods list?'
Human rights to privacy are being violated with the implementation of the new rule. This needs to be addressed.
