The Government should help end indirect discrimination against tenants on housing benefit by making it illegal to require a guarantor to rent a property when you are in receipt of housing benefit.

We applied for a property and we were required to get a guarantor because we are in receipt of housing benefit. At our age of 47, getting a guarantor isn’t an option and we feel that we have been indirectly discriminated against. We know we’re not the only people in this position.
