Closed petition Criminal records for all those caught breaking tier rules

As we have seen recently and especially during New Year’s Eve, a large number of people have been attending mass gatherings and received no consequence apart from being escorted out. There must be real consequences for breaking the rules during this time to deter individuals from spreading the virus

More details

By giving individuals a criminal record it deters them from taking such actions as a criminal record is detrimental to a number of things such as jobs and careers. Currently such irresponsible behaviour as we have seen during the festive period is going unpunished and so will continue. The problem with this is that the virus will continue to spread because of the decisions made by a number of careless and irresponsible people and currently there is no real consequence for this.
