Rejected petition Give key workers priority to driving test and lessons

I would like the government to give priority to key workers working in social care or NHS to be able to book driving test and lessons. I am healthcare assistant and have been waiting since the first initial Lockdown, the next available date for my test was in January 25 and has now been cancelled.

If the government agree with the petition I will help key workers to travel safely without using public transport to work and help stop the spread of COVID-19 .

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.

The Government is responsible for delivery of driving tests, but it is up to individual driving instructors who to give lessons to.

If you want the Government to require the DVSA to prioritise keyworkers for driving tests once these restart we could accept a petition requesting this.
