Closed Make it illegal to force employees to use annual leave to cover self isolation

Annual leave has never been more essential to for peoples mental health. You rely on your annual leave to lighten these pressures, now more so than ever in the pandemic. If you are forced to use these days for isolating you soon find your 21 day allowance halved by a 10 day isolation period.

The Government needs to ensure that employees' annual leave is protected from being used unfairly, for a crisis that is out of control and is not their responsibility to take fault for. In a pandemic an employee who is isolating/protecting people from covid-19 should be praised not punished to encourage self-isolation.
