Closed Detailers and Car Care Professionals to Be Able to Remain Open During Lockdown

In UK lockdown 3.0, Detailers are being rounded up, in a generalisation of “manual car washes”. Subsequently they are being forced to close. These businesses, who sterilise taxis and other transport facilities which patients, key workers and those who are unable to drive, are essential.

To help slow the spread of the virus, via the safe guidance and protocols set out but to include those detailing businesses that either work from a fixed location (3 or less employees) or mobile, to carry out sterilisation of vehicles and transportation assets. This is to exclude “hand car washes” which attract multiple high volume of consumers to one location
