Make the wearing of face masks mandatory in all outdoor settings in areas with the highest rates of Covid-19 with the existing exemptions.

It is extremely difficult to maintain social distance in many areas with the highest rates, and this is now more important with the new strain of Covid-19.

International experience has shown that making the wearing of face masks compulsory has helped to keep transmissions down. This should also make the general public feel safer. It is now more important with the new strain of Covid-19 and its prevalence in certain areas, that tighter restrictions/ preventive measures are imposed.
