Rejected petition UK government to provide economic assistance to the Asian wedding industry.

Research shows that the Asian wedding sector contributes a whopping £3 billion to the UK economy and the cost of an Asian wedding is often at minimum double the cost of a British one.

This huge industry has been excluded from many of the Government’s Covid-19 financial support packages.

More details

The UK Asian wedding industry is facing an unprecedented challenge as a result of the Coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak.

Thousands of weddings have been canceled and the whole industry is uncertain about how it will continue to trade or if they will still have an income or not.

I would like the government to provide support to businesses & individuals struggling at this crucial time.
