Rejected petition Freeze Business Rates for Startups and Small Businesses until 2024

Currently Business Rates have been paused until 03/2021 but many shops are currently facing permanent closure due the way small businesses have been excluded. We want to come back after covid but we need a break from business rates to help us recover ASAP.

Small shops need OUR help otherwise we will have even more houses which is what is causing the MASSIVE strain on the NHS.

The Love Local Hub was only open for 18 days in the centre:MK and we put £25000 back into the pockets of small businesses.

Even as a CIC / Social Enterprise there is no guarantee we will get a reduction on business rates. For our location this is £50,000 to £100,000.
