Closed Fund more suitable care homes for the physically disabled

The Government should provide local authorities with funding to establish more care homes in their areas so that the needs of the physically disabled are better met.

Due to lack of funding or capacity, people with physical disabilities can currently be placed into care homes for those with dementia even when they are mentally unimpaired. This impacts their right to a social life within the care home, and in turn that can affect their mental health.
