We’re waiting for a new Petitions Committee

Petitions had to stop because of the recent general election. Once a new Petitions Committee is set up by the House of Commons, petitions will start again.

Closed petition Fund widespread Covid-19 T cell testing, including for those offered vaccination

The Government should fund a programme of Covid-19 T cell testing, to establish the extent of pre-existing immune system protection against Covid-19. These should be offered to all recipients of Covid-19 vaccines, as if they have Covid-19 T cells they may not need or want to be vaccinated.

More details

If the purpose of vaccination is to confer immunity, those with existing immune system defences may not need vaccinating, and vaccination of people without any immune response could be prioritised. With limited resources available (doses, money and staff) this could help ensure that vaccines are administered in a more efficient way and save lives and money.
