Petitions had to stop because of the recent general election. Once a new Petitions Committee is set up by the House of Commons, petitions will start again.

Closed petition Free childcare for 2 year olds, for all parents in higher education
Parents wanting to up skill and study in higher education should have support with childcare. Government should offer free hours to help support parents to confidently re-enter the work force.

Currently the government offer free funding for children aged 2 to low income families. This should be extended to parents who are in education also, to cover the financial burden of increasing childcare costs.
