Rejected petition Keep Schools Closed even after Mid Feb since deaths are still rising in UK
I want the Government and PM to agree not to open schools in Mid Feb or to continue exams for any students. This is to make sure everyone’s safety is prioritized.Since many young children are not vulnerable to Covid we still need to make sure you to take responsibility to keep children safe publicly.

Why was this petition rejected?
We can't publish petitions when the request is something that's already happening or something that has been announced since you started your petition.
We think your petition is covered by Government or Parliament action already. If you'd like something else, you could start a new petition clearly explaining what it is.
Since you started your petition, the Government has confirmed its hope that it will be safe to start re-opening schools from 8 March at the earliest, and there are no indications they are considering re-opening them in February: https://dfemedia.blog.gov.uk/2021/01/28/prime-minister-announces-that-schools-and-colleges-will-return-from-8-march-at-the-earliest/
For clarity, the number of daily Covid-19 deaths has been declining since 19 January: https://coronavirus.data.gov.uk/details/deaths.
You could start a petition that sets out criteria for when schools can reopen, if that is something you'd like to happen.
In the meantime you might like to sign this petition which calls for a similar action:
