The Government should coordinate distribution of Covid vaccines with the EU to minimize total deaths across both the UK and EU, even if this means giving up some of our own supply.

The vaccine shortage is a humanitarian crisis and should not be an issue of contracts, borders or politics. The right thing to do is to consider how to minimize deaths across all countries, at the very least we can do this right now in Europe. A team of UK/EU scientists should determine how to distribute vaccines to maximize effect across all of Europe, including the UK. We can set an example to the world by showing that we are above petty squabbles or vaccine nationalism and save lives.
