Petitions had to stop because of the recent general election. Once a new Petitions Committee is set up by the House of Commons, petitions will start again.

Closed petition Fund a one-off payment of £1,000 to all teachers
Many committed teachers are having to work full-time currently, teaching children in the class as well as additionally having to teach other children online at the same time. This additional work and dedication should be rewarded by the Government.

Teachers have had some bad press recently, while potentially putting their lives at risk by attending schools daily to carry out the vital role of educating our children. They have often had poor provision of PPE and their workload has doubled in some cases, as they have to teach in the classroom as well as providing separate online learning.
