We’re waiting for a new Petitions Committee

Petitions had to stop because of the recent general election. Once a new Petitions Committee is set up by the House of Commons, petitions will start again.

Closed petition Fund improved local facilities for walking football

The Government should make funding available to walking football clubs and local councils to create better facilities.

More details

This could include converting hardcourt or cement 5/6 aside football pitches into 3/4g pitches (as there is a shortage of them in local small towns), as well as installing onsite toilets and showers.

In many local areas there are not enough good facilities for walking football groups. Also, a lot of good facilities are run by schools or big clubs so not useable by the general public. Those that are available are often very busy, limiting access to many.

A lot of facilities are poor and have no showers or toilets which is not suitable, especially for the over 50s+.
