Closed Remove the suspension on EU import checks asap to restore a level playing field.

There is currently a six-month grace period following Brexit, allowing the suspension of the full range of physical checks on EU imports until July. Therefore, EU exporters to the UK currently have an advantage over UK exporters to the EU (not a level playing field). Please remove this suspension.

The current arrangements are a disadvantage to UK business and removing the suspension will bring the issues to a head. Until EU businesses are subjected to the excessive red tape our businesses are facing we will not see any changes made. No EU pain no UK gain.
