Rejected petition Stop cyclists using high frequency flashing lights, as not to effect Epileptics

Ban cyclists from using high frequency flashing lights on their bikes, as lights flashing at a high frequency can cause epileptic seizures for those with Photosensitive Epilepsy.

More details

A lot of people who have photosensitive epilepsy don’t have frequent seizures as they can avoid strobe or flashing lights in day to day life. However when driving in the dark, cyclists flashing bike lights can cause seizures when flashing as a certain speed/frequency.

The government should make it a law that these lights used by cyclists must stay below a safe flash frequency, as not to cause a seizure.
