Petitions had to stop because of the recent general election. Once a new Petitions Committee is set up by the House of Commons, petitions will start again.

Closed petition Provide free basic wifi to all homes in England.

I believe basic wifi should be free to all. My example is a vulnerable adult during covid restrictions not being able request medication from GP as he was told to do it online and he did not have access to this and also did not know how to use if he had got access.

More details

To protect the vulnerable including the elderly, frail and socially isolated in our society basic access should be available free to all. With basic training on how to use it. This would only include the ability to have your health needs met and other urgent requirements. Thus removing the need for people to produce bank details to access this basic personal info.
