Rejected petition Ban pornography that glorifies or includes rape, incest and paedophilia
Mainstream porn sites in the UK host millions of videos that glorify or include rape, incest and paedophilia. We want the government to regulate the porn industry so that mainstream porn sites in the UK are forced to implement a process by which these damaging videos can be flagged up and removed.
More details
The glorification and presence of rape, incest and paedophilia on mainstream porn sites in the UK has resulted in sexual crimes becoming normalised and more prevalent in society. This is putting vulnerable people in danger, especially children, and is influencing the kind of sexual relationships young people think are acceptable. People shouldn't and can't be stopped from watching porn, but the porn that can be accessed by anyone, including children, on mainstream porn sites should be regulated.
This petition was rejected
Why was this petition rejected?
It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Pornography which includes or depicts rape or sexual abuse of a child are already illegal in the UK.
Pornography depicting non-consensual sex was outlawed by the Criminal Justice and Courts Act 2015. You can find out more about this here: https://commonslibrary.parliament.uk/research-briefings/sn05078/
The law banning pornography depicting real or fictionalised sexual activity involving children was most recently updated via changes to The Coroners and Justice Act 2009. You can read this legislation here:

It is therefore not clear what more you would like the Government to do.
We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
